Apparently when you bitch about things on your blog, things start to happen. Among the things that happened this weekend: saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, talked to M (the cop) and made a date with him, ran into the guy from the Rita Rocks show at Whitlow’s – hereafter known as E – and played a game of "hockey" with him, had a painful appointment at Sugar House, and vegged for two days straight. All in all, a good weekend. 🙂 (Damn, that was a link-heavy paragraph!)
Details, you say? Well, I don’t know… *rolling eyes* Of course I’m going to tell you!
So, Thursday evening I get a call from M. Out of thin air. For no reason. I give him shit for not calling or emailing and remind him how rude that was… He apologizes and suggests we get together Monday – I think that he’s talking about yesterday… but that’s another story. This man is like crack to me, so of course I say yes. After I say yes, I realize that I am in desperate need of some, well, grooming down there. (Crap, I know that I have no shame in telling any of this to my friends, but to the internets??? Have I no shame? Apparently not. Hee!) So I get on the phone and call Sugar House to see if there are any "emergency" appointments available over the weekend. I luck out and get one on Saturday… at 9-freakin’-am. Not pleasant, but it’s going to have to do. (Apparently, he thought that we were talking about next Monday. Grrr.)
Friday rolls around and I get a major surprise from my boss. Yes, the one that I was complaining about not too long ago. She knows how much I love the Harry Potter… and how much I’ve been looking forward to the new movie coming out. (I mean, I am the girl who made sure that she got Book Six at midnight.) Well, anyway, she came into work asking if I had my tickets yet. I said no and that I didn’t know when I’d get a chance to go before Sunday and she just looked at me and told me to go. To buy my ticket online and go see the movie. I looked at her like she had three heads and she just looked at me and told me to go and have fun. Woo! There’s just nothing like going to the movies when you should be at work. Got to the 11.15 showing, didn’t get back to work until 2.30. Definitely a great way to end my work week.
Friday night, I find out that Rita Rocks is playing in Fairfax. I call Phyl, who tells me that I should show up. 🙂 I tell her that I’ll be there by the second set, as I’ve made plans to shop with Liza that night. I show up just in time for the end of the first set. The second set starts and who should show up? E. (You know, I realize that I might just run out of letters eventually. LOL.) We eventually start to talk and I give him shit about "losing my phone number." We keep talking and flirting for the rest of the night… both making suggestive comments and the like. There was a chick there who was nice, but a stripper wannabe, who gave Phyl and I some tips on arranging "the girls" to their best advantage. Of course we had to rearrange them right there at the bar, surrounded by the guys. Hee! Then there were comparisons of our girls and bras… and all the guys could do was stare. Occasionally they would look away and pretend to be embarrassed, but mostly they stared. I didn’t mean to stay until the bar closed, but the next thing I knew, the lights were up and people were leaving. I knew that I should leave, since I had to get up at the ass-crack of dawn to make sure I made my appointment. Did I? Yes and no. E waited for me outside and walked me to my car. I walked him to his car. We hung out in his car and talked… and snogged. Talked some more, snogged even more. After a while, he drove me to my car and we said our goodbyes – but not before I made sure he had my number again. I programmed it into his phone. Very forward of me, no? (There’s something about this guy that makes me do things I wouldn’t normally do. Like that. Oh, and like calling him. And leaving an inane voicemail… but I always do that.)
Saturday started off with a waxing appointment. While I don’t recommend starting your day off with a Brazilian, at least it got it out of the way for the rest of the day. Will someone please explain to me, though, WHY when I get my eyebrows waxed, I’m red for all of 10-15 minutes and why when I get down there waxed, it’s red and ugly looking for 24-fucking-hours?!?! Grrrr…. Thank goodness no one was going to look there for a few days… or so I thought. I also don’t recommend staying out until 3am the night before an early appointment, then having to work after. Makes for a very tired girl.
Saturday night and Sunday were well needed vegging days. I got some of the best sleep I’ve had in ages. I even knit a little bit! Woot! Who knew that I still could do that? 😉
So, I’ll continue the update another time. Not that there’s much more to update, lol. I’ve told you all the important stuff. Hee!
